Best Family Vacation Spot: The Secret Continent

April 17th, 2014

Summer is quickly approaching and you know what that means: time for a vacaaaaation! To help you plan the ultimate family getaway, I researched the top spots from around the world. And the verdict is in.

This year’s hottest vacation spot is the Secret Continent! Get this: It’s a fanplastic resort destination smack-dab in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

 It has everything:

 • Carboy Blowfish

 • The Museum of Modern Junk

 • Plastic Bouillabaisse

 • Debris Couture

The one thing the Secret Continent doesn’t have is an airport, but you can access it via boat…or skydive there! (The kids will love it.)

Take a deeper dive before your vacation and discover more here.

I’ve heard that fizzers from around the globe have…

5 Songs for Your Spring Break Fizzlist

March 5th, 2014

It may not feel like it in most parts of the country, but I promise you that spring is on its way. But even if you’re not, you can still take a mini “spring break” by putting on your brightest outfit, fizzing up a fun drink, and blasting a happy tune.

Here are my playlist picks for getting in the spring break state of mind:

“High Society” by Betty Who

Song Mood: Wanting to run away for the day and be extra fabulous with all of your friends.

Pairs With: Cooking Light Passionfruit-Mango

“Ways To Go” by Grouplove

Ms. Fizz Flicks: Oscars 2014

February 28th, 2014

Last year, I only managed to watch two of the Best Picture nominees (and yet still gave you my thoughts on each of the films). This year, I did just a bit better, watching three out of the nine: Her, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Nebraska. Of course, that’s not going to stop me from sharing my two (or more) cents. Here are my personal Oscars predictions:

Will win: 12 Years a Slave

Should win: This adorable video of kids reenacting the nominees

Will win: Alfonso Cuaron

Should win: @aleshahickmans for this bubbly shot

Will win: Matthew McConaughey

Should win: Leonardo Dicaprio (You’ll get it one year, buddy!)

Will win: Cate Blanchett

Should win: Me when…

6 Activities For Cooped-Up Kids

February 21st, 2014
hot chocolate on a stick

Whether it’s a snow storm, rainy day, or frigid temperatures, that darn weather has a habit of keeping us cooped up inside for days (and weeks…and months) on end. At this point in the wonderful winter season, you might be running out of ways to entertain the kids (you can only read The Very Hungry Caterpillar or play Monopoly so many times). So for a little fizzpiration, here’s a list of my favorite ideas.

1. Host your own Olympic games.

The 2014 Olympic Winter Games are approaching the closing ceremony, but the fun is just beginning. Have the kids compete outside in “ice skating” on a frozen driveway or “skiing” on a snow-covered hill. Or take the games inside with an opening ceremony or round of pom-pom “curling.” Make winning medals with tinfoil and ribbons for the little athletes.…
