Lemon Mint

Now that summer vacation season is coming to a close, it’s a great time to really focus on our health and wellness. Starting with water. There’s quite a bit of confusion around just exactly how many glasses of water we should be drinking each day. The standard recommendation is 8 glasses, of course, but some doctors actually recommend 9-13 glasses per day. That’s 4-6 ounces of water per hour! Whew, that’s a lot of water.

If you’re like me and find it a bit hard to fit in the recommended daily hydration, you might want to look into making some “spa water.” You know, that fruit and herb-infused detox water that makes you feel oh-so pampered. Try adding some fizz to make it even more fun and delicious! Suddenly, your boring water is transformed and you’ll find it naturally easy to sip throughout the day. Below are a few of …

Muddled Screwdriver

Whether you binge-watched them or tuned in week after drama-filled week, you’ve likely had a drink on hand during your favorite TV shows. 5 Favorite Family Road Trip Games

| August 8th, 2014 |
road trip

The gas tank is full (as are your SodaStream bottles), bags are packed, the GPS is programmed, seatbelts are fastened…and you’re off! But about an hour into your five hour trip down the coast, boredom set in and the kids start to get antsy. That’s when you need to pull on your “entertainer cap” to keep the “Are we there yet”s at bay.

Here are five game ideas for your family road trip.

1. I’m Going on a Picnic

This is one of my favorite memory games (mainly because it involves picnics). Here’s how to play: The first person thinks of a pattern (i.e. foods that are round or foods that start with the letter “B”). Then they start off by saying what they’re bringing on their picnic (i.e. “I’m going on a picnic and I’m bring an orange” or “I’m going on a picnic and I’m bringing a baguette”). …
